Nice stories complied in one place with a very nice brief explanation of the story before the poem so the readers would understand the poem by first knowing the meanings.

This book is English translation of selections of Gulestan,the masterpiece by the great Persian Poet and philosopher Saadi. I think this is a good book and recommend it to all lovers of Saadi.
Beautifully translated, and left me wanting to learn more about Sufism. I hope this book makes Saadi as well known to the English-speaking world as Rumi.
It is obvious that you have taken great care and time to accomplish this project. It makes Saadi available to an English speaking audience that otherwise would not know his poetry. Thank you for your wonderful and amazing effort and job.
I really enjoyed The Manners of the Dervishes translated by Charles Kimbrell. His explanations at the beginning and with each poem made the book a delight to read. I never even knew what a Dervish was and now after reading this book I want to know more.
